![]() This is the first full album I've done that's seamless.I've done a few EP's that have one or two tracks that flow in to each other with no problem. I've even tried moving the separation point on 5 & 6 in Pro Tools, thinking it was a weird spot with a transient peak or something but no luck.always between 5 & 6. Put the disc in & everything's fine except the transition between tracks 5 & 6.there's a pop & a slight doubling of the first sounds. ![]() ![]() This time everything worked fine with the low res waves in itunes. This morning I got to the studio, opened Pro Tools, checked my transitions, re-exported all the tracks, made yet another new Audio CD Playlist in Quattro, entered the test info, never listened to or even touched the wav forms, made new low res files, DDP's & burned a disc. I finally tell the client I'll need another day to figure this out or use a different program. I burn a disc & get the 1 second gaps between each song. So I do this & it works ok on the low res wav exports.only one doubled "glitch" between songs 5 & 6. I found someone on GS that mentioned closing the session, reopening & immediately exporting/burning without listening to audio. I sent the client out for lunch, emailed Stefano & searched the web for similar issues. I then check the burned disc & find in has inserted 1 sec of space between each song. I then check the low res versions in itunes, start each song 30-40 seconds before the transition & hear a pop between most transitions. ![]() I figure it must be a buffering issue or something & move forward, make individual low res wave files & burn a test disc. I then made a new Audio CD Playlist, load the hires files in, enter text again & still have the same problems on playback. I then went back & checked the original hires files I exported from Pro Tools in itunes & all the songs transition seamlessly. Now, it doesn't do this every time.one out of 5 or 6 passes over the same marker results in a clean, seamless transition. So I load in the clients tracks to an Audio CD Playlist, get the proper text info entered for the CD & individual tracks, go to check our song transitions & find that if I play over a transition I get a loud POP or a slight doubling of the sound. After that, I export full res versions (24 x 88.2 in this case) of each track to be loaded in to Quattro for lower res exports, DDP files & to make physical audio discs. I did my setup & outboard processing in Pro Tools, printing back in as one continuous file then separating to individual tracks & checking that it flows seamlessly. We've spent quite a lot of time in advance sharing notes & prepping where each song should begin. The 9 songs blend one to the next with ethereal interludes. It's a 10 song, 48 minute album & his band tracked the first 9 songs live in one take. Yesterday I was working on a master with the client attending. Also, I'm on Mavericks & have the latest version of Quattro. I've sent Stefano a few emails about the problems yesterday & I'm sure he'll have insight but I'm in a crunch & thought perhaps someone here might have a solution. Before I get in to my current DSP Quattro problem - I've been using it for a few years now & while I've had minor issues in the past, Stefano has been fantastic with communication to help solve these issues.
